Paper 1 of JEE Advanced consists of three sections: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Each section consists of 18 questions, with a total of 54 questions. The maximum marks for each section are 62. Paper 2 also consists of three sections, with the same number of questions and maximum marks as Paper 1.
The JEE Advanced paper pattern is designed to test the student's understanding of the concepts and their problem-solving abilities. The questions are designed to be challenging, and the exam tests the student's ability to think logically and quickly. The paper pattern is revised every year to ensure that the exam remains relevant and up-to-date with the latest changes in the curriculum.
One of the most important aspects of the JEE Advanced paper pattern is negative marking. For every incorrect answer, one mark is deducted, and for every correct answer, three marks are awarded. If a question is left unanswered, no marks are awarded or deducted.
